Magician
Brokeback Magic
Brokeback Magick is part entertainer, part wizard, and part endangered aquatic unicorn. At 36, this tall gay bear has been dazzling crowds since before dial-up internet, wielding a beard thicker than your disbelief and a knack for turning any setting into a psychedelic kaleidoscope of weird wonder and magical fuckery

Interactive Art
Forest of Confusion
Wander into the Forest of Confusion, an interactive grove of Colorado Blue Spruce that invites families to explore, play, and bring the forest to life. Each six-foot “tree” rests in a soft blue glow, a nod to the Colorado Blue Spruce, until you wander close. Proximity activates the trees, shifting them from blue into new colors and patterns, and as more trees awaken, the entire 60-foot grove builds toward a shared finale. When every tree is activated, the forest bursts into a synchronized light show you create together. Best experienced after dark for full effect, Forest of Confusion invites visitors of all ages to explore and share the magic.

Humanitarian
Trash Is Free
They call him Trash Is Free, and he’s exactly that — unchained, unfiltered, unstoppable. A grassroots humanitarian with punk rock roots, he’s built a life around giving without expecting anything back. He feeds the homeless, shelters the vulnerable, and collects medical supplies and crutches for those left behind — from Denver’s streets to communities across Africa. He runs on pure purpose, using what others throw away to build something better. Through his upcycling work — turning 55-gallon drums and discarded materials into tools, shelters, and resources — he’s made waste his weapon against injustice. He feeds bands, fuels movements, and reminds everyone that real change doesn’t come from money — it comes from heart, grit, and the will to share what you have. Trash Is Free is more than a name. It’s a philosophy. A movement. A living reminder that giving is punk as hell.

TANK EFFECT
Meet Our Artisan Alchemist: Tank Effect A true modern-day renaissance man, Tank is our resident jewelry and momentum tradesman, bringing raw earth energy and creative fire to every piece he makes. Tank is a multitalented maker with skills that stretch far beyond the forge. He’s a 3D printing wizard, a dedicated homesteader, and a fashion designer with a flair for the unconventional. Whether it’s wearable art, futuristic prototypes, or self-sufficient living, Tank builds it all from the ground up—no shortcuts, no compromises. From the minerals beneath your feet to the momentum you carry into the night, Tank’s work is about connection, resilience, and self-expression. Fire Performance Artist
Caitlin Morris
Caitlin is the Assistant Director of Fire Performance for Darshan Dance Company, a visionary troupe that electrifies concert halls and festival stages with their bold blend of bellydance fusion. Drawing from the roots of Middle Eastern and sacred Indian dance and igniting it with the energy of contemporary movement, theatrical storytelling, and the raw intensity of fire, bellydance fusion becomes more than dance—it’s an alchemy of tradition and innovation that blazes across the stage. From 2015–2022, Caitlin served as Director of the Burning Man Fire Conclave Hot CoCo, guiding large-scale fire choreography for one of the world’s most iconic gatherings. Beyond her work with Darshan, she is a multifaceted creative force: a freelance fire dancer and flow artist, a sculptor working in steel and flame, and a flame effects technician who brings sparks of engineering to the artistry of performance. Whether forging metal or shaping movement, Caitlin’s work lives at the intersection of craft, spectacle, and transformation—inviting audiences into a world where fire, dance, and imagination move as one.

Pyrotechnic Artist
Mitch Giraffe
Mitch 'Giraffe' is not your average artist; he's an alchemist of the industrial graveyard, bringing discarded life back to the Black Rock Desert. Hailing from Denver, he has spent seven cycles forging custom, large-scale sculptures and immersive installations from the steel bones of forgotten machines. His passion is the ultimate act of radical self-reliance: taking the skeletons of scrap metal, especially decommissioned bicycles, and transforming them into gloriously interactive, kinetic marvels. These aren't just things to look at—they move, they respond, and they're waiting for you to spark them to life. Before finding his home in the dust, his transformative works activated spaces for the RiNo Arts District and the Colorado Tourism Board. But his true mission is here: creating magnificent effigies of movement and light that embody the transformative spirit of the playa. Find his art, become part of his art, and activate your inner Giraffe.

Visual Artist
Reina McLinden
A mesmerizing presence on stage, Reina embodies movement as devotion. Blending Fusion Bellydance and Indian-inspired ritual flow, her performances bridge the sacred and the surreal — where rhythm becomes prayer and the dancer becomes the offering. With every turn of the hip and flicker of flame, Reina channels ancient ceremony through modern sound, inviting all to move, feel, and connect. Her dance is more than performance — it’s invocation, a celebration of spirit through motion.
